Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth celebrated 70 years on the throne at the beginning of this month and we are delighted to continue the celebrations at St Barnabas Anglican Church on Saturday 11th June from 6.00pm in the church rounds.
Bring your own food & drink. Wear a crown, tiara, or coronet. Live music by the Fun Band and Andy will be our DJ for the evening. Enter our raffle, enjoy a glass of prosecco and a slice of celebration cake There will be a 1952 vintage car for you to pose by and take photographs.

Our People’s Warden, Lynda Moore, has the sales table open every Sunday after the service. Come along to see the collection of cards, jewellery, and other items she has on offer. This is also a good place to meet her after the service for a chat and to get to know her.
Last month we said farewell to Matthew, who returned to be with his family in Nigeria, he has not been with us long but during his stay was a great help and a regular worshipper.
On the 8th May we were all very sad to say farewell to Grace who has been a faithful member of our congregation for over 25 years, she is returning to Sri Lanka to lead a prayer fellowship group in her hometown. We gave her a wonderful send off and although she will be missed by us all she will never be forgotten for her generous spirit and warm heart.
Father Ian continues our midweek communion on Wednesday mornings starting at 9.30am, the service lasts approximately 30 minutes, and we are always happy to welcome new friends to join us.
Our monthly tabletop Sales are as popular as ever, held in the church grounds on the first Saturday of each month. Lots of different stalls, bargains to be found, friendships renewed and refreshments to enjoy. Plenty of parking in surrounding areas, do come along and join us.
Why not pop along to the church during the week, our doors are always open. If you want to come along for a time of quiet reflection or, if you would like someone to talk to, get in touch and we can arrange that for you. Our pastoral care team do try and visit those who are at home but if you know of anyone who needs a visit or a phone call, please let us know.
