Two Extreme High Temperature Warnings Issued

On Sunday the Cyprus Meteorological Service issued two Extreme High Temperature Warnings.

The first warning a Yellow Extreme High Temperature Warning for Sunday night. The warning is in place from 9pm on Sunday 13th August until 6am on Monday 14th August.

The minimum temperature is not expected to fall below 26 degrees Celsius inland and over coastal areas and below 25 degrees Celsius over the highest mountainous areas.

The second warning is an Orange Extreme High Temperature Warning issued for Monday 14th August. The warning is in place from 11am until 6pm on Monday 14th August.

Maximum temperatures are expected to be around 44 degrees Celsius over inland areas and around 35 degrees Celsius over the higher mountainous areas.
