October 2023 is a very special month at The Clothing Lounge as we celebrate reaching double figures! A decade ago we opened our doors for the first time at our original shop in Peyia. Who knew that in the blink of an eye we would be celebrating our tenth anniversary!
October 2013 was a journey into the unknown and something of a leap of faith. Despite it having long been a dream to begin a business of our own, it was quite a daunting prospect to walk away from our established careers in order to open a fashion boutique in the middle of a recession, a time when people were cutting back on the little extras rather than splurging on a new outfit. Worse still we had serious competition as the long-awaited Kings Avenue Mall was due to open at precisely the same time! But we jumped in with both feet and haven’t looked back since.
Thanks to the support of our many wonderful customers, we were able to take on a second shop in Chloraka exactly three years later in October 2016, and continued to run both shops side by side for a further three years. Then in the autumn of 2019, due to ever increasing time and work commitments, we decided to close the shop in Peyia and expand the premises in Chloraka, the site at which we are still located today. We were incredibly fortunate that our wonderful clients followed us and continued to support us through the trials and tribulations of Brexit, Covid and the cost of living crisis.
And so here we are today! Time to celebrate!
As a huge thank you to everyone we’ll be holding a big tenth birthday bash at the shop in Chloraka on Saturday October 14th. From 1pm-6pm everybody is welcome to pop in at their convenience and raise a glass with us. We’ll be putting on a free bar and complimentary buffet for all to enjoy, with a good dose of music and fun thrown in. The more the merrier, so pop the date in your diary and come and join us!

The Clothing Lounge is located next door to Papantoniou Supermarket in Chloraka and is open SEVEN days a week.
Monday-Sunday, 9-5.30pm every day.
We don’t close for lunch or half days.
