This month we are highlighting Stray Haven.
I am sure we all remember the sad events of the fire last year which highlighted for so many of us the increasing need for safe and secure homing for our islands stray animals who are solely reliant on us hoomans to do right by them.
When our community gathers together, with all our resources we can certainly make a big difference coming together to help the animals. It definitely restored some hope and prompted Paws for Cause. Raising money through your purchases for Cyprus’ animal shelters.
Since September 2023, Stray Haven have raised over €30k with ongoing fundraising to find new premises. Their Charity status is pending, this is a priority for Nieske to allow the shelter to absorb the growing need for a safe space for our stray animals.
We are seeing such an increase of dumped puppies who desperately need homes.
They are still in need of donations to purchase a new safe Stray Haven Shelter.
They, as do all of our visited shelters, need help.
- Could you volunteer for the shops in Kissonerga & Peyia.
- Can you help by driving? Could you spare some time to help as a Shelter volunteer?
- Can you help with the rehoming team?
- Stray Haven are desperate for Foster Homes for all of the puppies.
The dream for Stray Haven is to have a Peaceful place for the dogs to wait for their forever homes.
It would be a wonderful thing if we all could forge together to create a singular platform for rehoming all of the animals of Cyprus.
