Paphos Classic Vehicle Club February Update

Our Classic for the Month of February is the super Japanese sports coupe, the Toyota Supra mark III.

The car is owned by Alison and Neil Wishart of ANW Cars and dates from 1991 but only came to Cyprus in 2013. Originally owned by a Banker of Fleet Street, London, Neil and Alison are only the third owners. They acquired it from a friend as his wife did not like the car.

Neil admits that the car can be a bit of a “beast” as it is powered by a 6 cylinder 3.0 litre turbo charged petrol engine, that produces over 230 bhp. The Supra was advertised as an affordable Supercar and was then the fastest production car manufactured in Japan, with an acceleration of 0/60 in 5.6 seconds, and a top speed of 165 mph! The car incorporates many high tech features and is resplendent in its beautiful bright red 1980/90`s wedge shaped body, with the iconic pop up headlights.

The Supra will be featured at our events throughout February, which include a visit to the Oldtimer Garage and Museum and the Cyprus Motorcycle Museum in Nicosia on the 12th. Full details of this and our Classic Breakfast and Social meetings can be found on our Facebook page or Website (www.paphosclassicvehicleclub.com) or telephone 97760997.

Everyone attending PCVC events must comply with all current Covid 19 regulation.
