The WFiC Winter League Round 4 was held at AM Fair Game Centre in Tremithousa on 1st February . Once again reigning champions ENAD showed their strength by winning all three of their games. In doing so, they opened up a 12 point gap at the top of the league over the three teams from Pafos United. The three Pafos teams are close and it is becoming a three-way fight between them, while ENAD push on at the top. But as all followers know; football can be a funny game so there might be a few surprise results to come in the remaining two rounds.

Building on the hugely successful World Nations Cup last October, we have now been informed by the Federation of International Walking Football Associations (FIWFA) that the 2026 European Nations Cup of Walking Football will be held at the same excellent venue in Torrevieja, starting 2nd November 2026.
This is a competition with men over-50, over-60 and over-70 teams and women over-40, over- 50 and over- 60 teams taking part.
With an expectation that we will send at least one men’s team to Spain, WFiC will be holding trials over the course of the year. So once again, all walking football clubs across the island are asked to watch out for notification of the trials.
It has to be stressed that as this will be a team representing Cyprus, players must be 50 years old or over, and be either a Cypriot national, or be able to prove they have five years legal residency. This rule is strictly adhered to by the organisers.
