Good wishes to you all for a Joyful Festive Season and a Peaceful New Year.
December 1st is the first Sunday of Advent, the beginning of the Church Year. It is a time of anticipation, a time of preparation, and a time of remembrance which leads up to Christmas when we celebrate the birth of Jesus. Advent’s tone and focus, however, is subdued for an important reason. Christmas is prefixed with a season of preparation so Advent is necessarily a reflective, anticipatory season. Do join Rev’d Deborah Moorgas during the first few Tuesdays in December as she guides us through the Advent course , the theme this year is” The symbols of Christ’s Birth that point us to His death”
We would like to extend our appreciation to everyone who contributed to the Christmas Shoe Box Appeal for the Mission to Seafarers. We filled a lot of boxes which were blessed by Rev’d John Attenborough on 24th November and taken away for distribution to the crews at sea over the festive season. We were also supported this year by Bernard Schulte shipping company and thank them for their support and donations to this very worthwhile cause.
Charles Dodd would like to send a huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped, supported, donated and participated in any way to our Christmas Bazaar on 30th November. It was good that Father Christmas was able to make an appearance and once again it was a day full of fun, friendship and fellowship. See you next Year Ho! Ho! Ho!
