Proud as we are of our athletes’ racing performances, we are just as proud of the community work we do, and not just the schedule of activities we provide, but also for our charitable endeavours:
Breast of Friends Charity Coffee Morning 27th October
October is Worldwide breast cancer awareness month, so we always organise a charity run and coffee morning. This year we raised €5,700.
Triathlon Training 12th November
This well-attended session was a staggered start handicap where faster people chased slower people but such were the time gaps at the start, anyone of any ability could have won!
Dmitry Vinogradov put in a tremendous swim and a great ride so by the time the run started he was comfortably in the lead on the road and had also doubled his lead on fast man Nic Sutherland who started 2 minutes behind him.
By the finish though it was husband and wife Janet and Nic Sutherland who took top honours with Janet gradually overhauling Dmitry to finish first, and Nic recording the fastest time of the day overall.
Paphos Park Run 6th November
Despite a record turnout of over 90 participants, Ioannis Aresti romped away to a commanding win with teammates Dave Dowd and Emma Tease in 4th and 6th places.
First place in the age competition was Lisa Gwynne with Dave Dowd in second place and in all, PRC won 6 age categories.
Don’t miss our Park Runs for runners and walkers, first Sunday every month, along the scenic coastal path starting near the Fort in Paphos harbour.
