Campaign to collect humanitarian aid for those affected by the deadly earthquake in Syria and Turkey by the Office of the Citizen Commissioner in collaboration with Civil Defence
In recent days we have witnessed a great natural disaster and an unspeakable human drama in Syria and Turkey.
Cyprus could not remain uninvolved in the call of the European Civil Protection Mechanism to send humanitarian aid to the affected areas.
Starting tomorrow, Thursday, 9/2/2023 until Friday 17/2/2023, humanitarian aid collection campaign. The whole effort is done in collaboration with all the competent State Services and is supported by Local Government Agencies as well as organizations and institutions.
Types of humanitarian aid :
- Dry food (eg canned food, cereal, nuts, cookies, flour, spaghetti, baby milk powder/baby food)
- Sleeping bags and underlays
- Blankets
- Winter clothes and shoes
- Personal hygiene items
- Detergents/Cleaning products
- Diapers for children and adults
A warm request to those who wish to contribute to the whole effort to limit themselves to what is included in the above list.
