Pafos United Walking Football Club

This has been a good month at the club as Ben Tumber became the First Overseas Player to achieve the Walking Football Association Coaching Certificate under the guidance of the club’s Honorary President Tony Watson assisted by both qualified coaches Billy Smith and Nick Dowse.

The March Player of the Month award went to Stehen Horne for his dedication and teamwork, seen being presented his award by Tony Watson who’s the club’s Honorary President.

We had entered 3 teams into the Walking Football in Cyprus League, which concluded on Sunday 5th April with the Pumas coming runners up to the ENAD Panthers. The club also had both Dave Perkins and Nik Peltekakis being part of a trio who became players of the tournament.

Nik Pelekakis was also the league’s top goalscorer. So a huge congratulations to everyone that participated in the League.

Paul Nicholls, who is also the England Parkinson’s Team Manager and one of the club’s goalkeepers, recently played for Arsenal in the Sport Parkinson’s National Cup 2026 at St Georges Park, well done Paul.

The WFA England Kicking Cancer Men’s Team are due to play Pafos United at AM Fair Game sports centre on Friday 1st of May at 0845hrs. It is also hoped to have some representatives from the Cyprus Kicking Cancer Walking Football Team in attendance.
