The Cyprus Department of Meteorology have issued a Yellow Thunderstorm Warning valid from 12pm to 6pm on Thursday 16th October.
Isolated heavy thunderstorms are expected to affect inland, mountainous as well as coastal areas over the eastern half of the island. Shower rates may reach 50 millimeters per hour, while hail is also likely.
BE AWARE that thunderstorms may occur. Take extra care in exposed areas, like mountains, forest and open terrain. Disruption to outdoor activities is possible.
