The Cyprus Department Of Meteorology have issued an Orange Thunderstorm Warning valid from 4pm on 14th December until 8pm on 15th December 2020.
Isolated heavy thunderstorms are expected to affect the area. Shower rates may exceed 55mm per hour, with high risk of hail.
The Cyprus Met Office explanation for an Orange Thunderstorm Warning is to be prepared for severe thunderstorms causing significant impact and protect yourself from lightning. Damage to property and trees may occur. Flash flooding, wind gusts and hail are possible. Transport and outdoor activities, disruption can be expected.
