Walking football is one of the fastest growing sports for both men and women globally. Here in Pafos, we have several clubs that have been spawned from the oldest club here, Pafos United Walking Football Club (PUWFC). We at Pafos United are delighted that their Honorary President, Tony Watson, has been nominated to officiate at the World Nations Cup in October 2025.
In addition, the Walking Football in Cyprus (WFiC) body of which Pafos United are a founding member, are pleased to announce that Mark Hignett, the lead referee on the Island (and co-founder of The Referee’s Academy) has also been nominated.
Final selection will take place at a special training event in the UK in July.
