St Barnabas’ Anglican Church, Limassol News from Christine Taylor

On the 8th of September we were delighted to welcome Archdeacon Christopher Futcher and his wife Reverend Anne Futcher to join us at Saint Barnabas Church for our parish lunch. Archdeacon Christopher presided over the service and Reverend Anne preached They both retired at the end of September to move back to Southwest England.

We were also very happy to welcome back Reverend Ian and Carol Nicholson, although they left us last October to return to their home in New Zealand they just couldn’t wait to get back and see us all and we were happy to see them. Father Ian was able to join in Tuesday morning prayers and lead us all in worship the following Wednesday.

A visit by Bishop Sean Semple and his wife Jenny along with one of their sons on 8th September was a nice surprise, we look forward to seeing him at St Barnabas again on 8th December when we will have members of the congregation confirmed.

There will be a collection box every Sunday at the back of the church for items to go in the shoe boxes for the Mission to Seafarers Christmas Appeal, we are also happy to take monetary donations so that we can buy useful and essential items to fill the boxes nearer the time. If you would like to contribute in anyway please come along on a Sunday morning and speak to Christine Taylor or Brian Goodburn or contact Reverend John Attenborough. To learn more about The Mission to Seafarers in Limassol please drop Rev. John a line by email [email protected] or call him on 99 539144 or even send him a WhatsApp message on +357 99 539144.
