Sarama Blues Festival

15th - 16th July

SaramaThis 2 day blues festival will be happening for the first time and will present 5 bands.

The venue is a part of “Yurts in Cyprus”, alternative eco-friendly b&b, set in picturesque Sarama Valley.

“Yurts in Cyprus” hosted many concerts before where the festival atmosphere, rural location and stunning views created an amazing experience for both the audience and musicians.

Limited camping facilities for tents will be available – please contact the organiser (Pawel 97629148, [email protected]).

Drinks and street food will be available for purchase – please do not bring your own.

This is an open air event – bring warm clothing for the evening as the temperature can drop significantly after the sunset.

“Slaska Grupa Bluesowa” (Silesia Blues Group)

SaramaSGB is a Polish super group. 2 of its members, Winder and Giercuszkiewicz, been playing since 1972.Some of the best Polish blues and rock musicians have performed with this band, which was founded in 2003 by Skrzek, Giercuszkiewicz, Winder and Rzepa.Cyprus concerts will feature:Leszek Winder – guitarMichal Giercuszkiewicz – drumsMiroslaw Rzepa – bassAgnieszka Lapka – vocalsMichal Kielak – blues harp

“Black Anis”

SaramaBLACK ANIS [/ˈblæk ˈɑːnɪs/] is a five-piece band formed in Cyprus, in January 2016. Their music is a blend of blues-rock, drawing influences from southern rock and incorporating elements from 90s trip-hop. The evident use of high-powered effects on stage produces a diverse atmosphere contrary to the popular sounding. Their playlist includes original compositions as well as covered songs adjusted to their style. The band features Orestis Savva and Kyriakos Xristodoulides on electric guitars, Xanthos Pattichis on bass guitar, Frixos Protopapas on drums, and Adriana Di Antonio on vocals.

 

“Pokoj Numer 3”

SaramaFounded in 2015 in Bydgoszcz, Poland. The band comprises of young musicians fascinated by blues and rock, which dominates their creation, but you will also find influences from the South and country in their music.

The lead singer, Kuba Andrzejewski, is a talented young guitarist, composer and writer of all the the songs performed by Pokoju Numer 3.
Kuba is a winner of many awards as an instrumentalist and often is invited to perform with leading blues bands.
In 2016 the band was joined by Michał Kielak, top Polish harmonica player, whos experience supports the development of the band.
Together they create a great mixture of solid rock complimented by a blues harmonica.

“The Great Flood”

SaramaThe band was founded in Nicosia in 2012 and last year released their album called “So Far So Good”.Their style is blues and rock’n’roll and they will perform their original songs and covers.Kaan Batural: guitar, lead vocals
