The very popular local artist Duncan Lamb is having an exhibition at J&J Art Works and Talalaland Art Cafe on the Tala square.
The exhibition, The very popular local artist Duncan Lamb is having an exhibition at J&J Art Works and Talalaland Art Cafe on Tala square. ROCK N ROLL & ALL THAT JAZZ, will run until 26th September. On the opening night the amazing Davey Woodford will be performing songs which will go with the theme of some of Duncan’s artworks – Musicians. The exhibition will showcase over 50 of Duncan’s latest works. He works in a number of mediums. His style could be described as realistic using mainly airbrush and graphite. His subject matter is wide ranging but he is well known for faces of musicians and actors.
In Cyprus, Duncan has previously exhibited at Technopolis (Paphos), Sarah’s Jazz Club (Nicosia) and he very generously gave one of his paintings (which was sold with 100% going to the cancer charity Pasykaf) to The Space Art for Charity which saw the “Bob Marley” piece exhibited at Paphos, Limassol and Nicosia. He has had the honour of being accepted on two occasions to be part of the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition in London. He has had a number of solo and group exhibitions in the UK, New Zealand and his work is in private collections in Denmark, Canada, New Zealand, Holland, Lanzarote, Switzerland, Hawaii, UK and Cyprus. He was a Fellow of the Chartered Society of Designers, Fellow of the Society of Architectural Illustrators and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of British Sculptors.
The exhibition will run until 26th September. Free entrance.
