Paws Dog Shelter is like all the animal Charities, they are desperate for Volunteers to help feed, clean pens and walk dogs and welcome anyone who would like to do something useful with their spare time. You only need to spend a couple of hours per week to help but doing this will give them joy and happiness as they become to love the doggies Plus if retired it’s a good way to keep fit while doing something useful.
Volunteers are very important, dealing with the dogs and giving them some love that has not been forthcoming in their lives as some animals that are taken in have been treated very badly. Dogs are left at the gate on an almost daily basis plus boxes of puppies by people who will not have their dogs neutered to stop unwanted Puppies…
Paws, like I am sure most Dog Shelters, have had over 40 Puppies up to date this year, they are left at the gate some far too young to be in the shelter and have to be fostered out till they are old enough to come into the shelter.
These Foster parents are wonderful and what would we do without them, a big Thanks from Paws for all the help they give to Paws..
Our 2025 Calendar is on sale and on the front of the Calendar is a photo of “Cash”, one of the very young puppies left in a box most of his siblings did not live but Cash was raised by our Shelter Manager Matt, who does an amazing job. “Cash” has survived thanks to Matt and now has a loving home…
Please support any Shelter in your area, its rewarding with a feel good factor very welcome in our lives. Paws also have a Charity Shop in Chlorakas and again Volunteers are always welcome.
