Paphos Running Club: Run – Bike – Swim – Hike

We’re an established multi-sports club with a range of interests, welcoming runners, cyclists, swimmers, and hikers of all abilities. Whether you’re just starting out or an experienced athlete, there’s a place for you here.

Have fun and do good
You are invited to come along to two fundraising events.
17th October is our Fun Run & Walk, starting at 4pm from Paphos Harbour.
5th November is our Coffee Morning, from 10.30am, held at the Coral Star Hotel.

We will be raising money for two local charities. Cancer Patients Support Group (CPSG) provides expert care and services for people affected by cancer. Care Days organises special experiences for cancer sufferers, bringing comfort and joy during challenging times.

We have some exciting entertainment planned too! The Fun Run & Walk will feature DJ Jason Collins from Sapphire Radio, while at the Coffee Morning, we’re delighted to welcome soul singer Geoff Rey along with our very own Mel Ballard and her B Sharp Choir.
We hope you’ll join us for these fun-filled events and support these two wonderful charities.

Masterful results for Chris and Mark
Two PRC athletes achieved impressive results at major international events this summer.

Chris Coleman travelled to Daegu, South Korea, for the World Masters Athletics Championships. Despite carrying a knee injury, Chris impressively secured a bronze medal in the M80 5,000 metres, in an excellent time of 24:33.77.

Meanwhile, Mark Robertson represented Great Britain in the 60-64 age group at the European Masters Aquatics Championships in Slovakia. Even with back problems during training, Mark won silver in the 100m Butterfly and bronze in the closely contested 50m Butterfly. He also achieved PB times in three freestyle events. And in challenging open-water races on the Danube, Mark finished seventh over 3km and eighth over 1.5km.

Mark Robertson and Medals

Congratulations to Chris and Mark on their outstanding results and their determination to overcome injury and compete successfully on the international stage.

Path Run, the ideal route to running
If you talk to runners about how they got started, it quickly becomes clear that many began, not with structured training or races, but simply by going to a local community run.

Globally, parkrun* has become hugely successful by making running free, accessible and social, encouraging people of all ages and abilities to take part.

Here in Paphos, we have our own version, the monthly Path Run. It’s held on the first Sunday of every month and follows a scenic out-and-back route along the coastal path from Paphos Castle. Locals and visitors are welcome and there is no charge.

The Path Run is all about getting moving, meeting people and discovering that running can be something you look forward to.

If you’ve been thinking about giving running a go, do join us for the Path Run, you’ll be made very welcome.
