When will I see you again.!!
Its the question many of our members have been singing and wondering as we haven’t kicked a ball or had a full meet up since early November.
It was with this in mind an informal get together was arranged in mid April when the Mulbery restaurant put on a morning social in which over 35 members turned up for a catch up and drinks.
Despite the inactivity we still have a number of enquiries from prospective new members. It is interesting that of our 78 active members we have 19 over the age of 70 which shows its never too old to take up a new past time. The average age of our players is 63,the average being brought down by the younger age group of our women members!
We are optimistic that we may be able to start playing by mid May.Behind the scenes our committee are keeping things going and have now re arranged our AGM and “Christmas “presentation dinner for mid June.
We have received notification that there will be a walking football world cup in the UK in 2021 and Cyprus have been invited to enter teams. At present there are just two clubs in Cyprus and it will be for the clubs including ourselves to decide if teams will be entered and to arrange trials.
The sponsorship of our kits and tournaments are now fully sponsored. However we are developing other sponsorship opportunities and its now possible to sponsor our website.
