Another month has gone by and we are still unable to start walking football due to government restrictions. Fingers crossed we can start again in January.
Our Annual Presentation Dinner had to be postponed until the end of January and our mini league has also been rescheduled. However it hasn’t all been negative news. We have attracted new sponsors and these will have their logos added to our new kit which is due to be launched in February. We welcome GS building company to our list of sponsors and we are delighted to have Viva radio as our new media sponsor. It means that they will be carrying regular reports on our activities and on 15 February they will be doing a live broadcast from our home ground at Fairgame Sports Centre.
We have now introduced a new post of Commercial and Events Coordinator. This is partly as a result of a number of teams from the UK and beyond showing interest in coming to Cyprus to take part in friendly matches and tournaments.
Our oldest player Roy Blatchford has decided at the age of 82 its time he hung up his boots. Roy has been with us almost two years and enjoyed both playing and the social side. We are pleased that Roy is staying on as a social member. Another older player Dave Hatton has also stopped playing but is joining our list of referees.
