The club has recently celebrated their 5th Birthday during February, starting with only a handful of players to nearly 120. Those interested in playing football, albeit a slower pace, have thoroughly enjoyed the experience and are hopefully looking forward to playing for their respective representative sides within the Cyprus Walking Football Federation (CWFF).
Both the Ladies and Men have teams in the local Keith Dutfield Cup Competition, which has mixed results with the Ladies Unbeaten with 5 wins, 1 draw out of 6 matches played., and the Men’s (Pirates Side) unbeaten with 1 win & 4 draws, plus the Men’s (Phantoms Side) Drawing 2 and Losing 3.Next round is on Sunday 18th February for the Men.
Future dates for the both Leagues are Sunday 3rd of March for the Ladies and Sunday 24th March for the Men. Venue for is AM Fair Game Sports Centre in Tremithousa.
Some of the club’s Ladies will be involved in the Cyprus Walking Football Federation Representative squad training in preparation for the visit of the WFA England Ladies Teams that are due between the 13th and 17th March.
On a windswept Monday 12th of February, the ladies January Player of the month award was presented to Kim Solly by the club’s chairman Tony Watson.
