The Christmas period means a number of players returning to the UK and beyond to visit families. The numbers at sessions have therefore been a bit depleted but it gives players remaining a chance to practice their skills.
We are looking forward to our Christmas get together at The Local in Chlorikas, where it’s a chance for long suffering partners to enjoy hospitality and a buffet.
We are in the process of drawing up plans for an internal competition based on ages. This is necessary to give teams a chance to play together before matches against visiting teams next year who have asked for matches split into age groups.
We were sorry to learn of the death of the wife of our former player and oldest member Roy Blatchford who is now a social member. A donation has been made to St Michaels Hospice.
Our Player of the Month went to Sharom Edmondson who has adapted very well to her new role as goalkeeper for the women’s team.
