Once again our hopes of starting walking football has been dashed with the latest government restrictions failing to allow us to start playing again. The indications are that we should be able to start sometime in April but we have learn over the last four months that this is a waiting game. It is reassuring to hear from a number of members that they have used the enforced delay wisely and have continued to train alone at home.
Our new kit has now been distributed and has met with favourable comments from members. We would like to thank the Acropolis Restaurant in Tremithousa for allowing us to use their facility as a distribution point.
Our much delayed mini league 2 sponsored by TWENTY4SEVEN SECURITY is due to start again in mid April and the presentation of medals to the winners will be combined with our delayed Presentation dinner. The date will again depend on government allowing live music to be played. We have a large number of donated prizes that will be used via a raffle to raise money for our chosen charities.
We are already making plans for the third mini league and are delighted that we have already attracted a new sponsor in Zephyros Adventure Sports. They already offer members a 15% discount in our discount scheme and in addition to their sponsorship will become our official photographers.
Our photo this month shows some of the members of our womens ladies team. they are always pleased to welcome new members and it isn’t necessary to have any previous football skills.
