Over 1,000 drivers were booked for traffic offences in 48 hours between Friday morning and Sunday morning, police said.
The force said it had issued a total of 1,060 fines for various traffic offences on primary and secondary roads islandwide.
The majority of the complaints concerned offences, which police said have been proven to be the main causes of serious and deadly road collisions.
Of the total booked, 483 were for speeding, 53 for not using a seat belt and 28 for using a phone while driving.
There were also 31 cases of drunk driving, nine for parking in disabled parking spaces and 166 for violating a traffic signal.
Six motorcyclists were boked for not wearing a helmet, while 47 motorists were caught driving with an expired licence and 115 for driving without any licence. Five were fined for driving vehicles registered as withdrawn from circulation.
