The Cyprus Department of Meteorology have issued an orange weather warning for rain valid from 9pm on Saturday (18/12/2021) until 1pm on Monday (20/12/2021).
The weather warning is for a combination of, at times, prolonged rain and local heavy thunderstorms expected to affect the area. The total precipitation is likely to range between 85 and 110 millimeters per 24 hours.
Be prepared to protect yourself and your property. Some flooding of properties and transport networks are possible. Disruption to power, communications and water supplies are possible. Some evacuations may be required. Dangerous driving conditions due to reduced visibility and aquaplaning.
