The Department of Meteorology has issued an Orange weather warning valid from 7pm on Tuesday 9th December until 5am on Wednesday 10th December.
The Department states that “a combination of rain and isolated thunderstorms are expected to affect the area, mainly south and east areas and probably north and mountainous areas. In storm hail is likely while surface wind will be variable with strong gusts. Precipitation rate is expected to range between 55 and 70 millimeters per hour, while total precipitation is expected around 70 millimeters within 6 hours”.
