Pancyprian Measures to combat the coronavirus pandemic COVID-19
With effect from 11/12/2020 (time 06.00 am) to 31/12/2020 (time 05.00 am)
1. Traffic ban between 21.00 pm. until 05.00 a.m. except in the following cases:
- going to and from workplaces, as well as for work purposes using the Employee Traffic Certificate Form,
- going to a medical center or hospital or pharmacy or veterinarian for medical emergencies, and
- movement of hunters to and within non-prohibited hunting areas, as defined in the Laws on Protection and Management of Wild Birds and Prey of 2003 to 2017, from 03.00 am. only on permitted hunting days (meaning that they must carry their hunting license with them for control purposes).
2. Gatherings in public places (parks, squares, dams, picnic areas, beaches, sidewalks and marinas, etc.) are allowed, provided that they do not exceed two people, excluding minor children.
3. Up to 10 persons are allowed to be present in homes, including minor children.
4. Ecclesiastical and other forms of religious worship in religious places are performed without the presence of believers.
It is forbidden to hold meals / dinners and any other events for weddings and baptisms (except for an event in a house with a maximum number of 10 people including minor children).
6. Religious ceremonies (weddings, baptisms, funerals) with a maximum number of 10 people are allowed.
7. The operation of the Lyceums and the Higher and Higher Education Institutions from Monday 14/12/2020 will be done with distance education. Kindergartens, Primary Schools and Gymnasiums continue to operate normally. It is understood to apply to public and private schools / institutions.
8. Visits to hospitals, clinics, medical and diagnostic centers are prohibited.
9. The operation of all restaurants (restaurants, taverns, cafes, breweries, snack bars and bars, cafes and restaurants inside shopping malls, canteens and / or sports clubs, cultural clubs, clubs, clubs, etc.) is suspended their services related to home delivery and take away (After 21.00 pm only home delivery is allowed).
Please note that the dining areas inside hotels and tourist accommodation can be open until 21:00 p.m. only for the service of persons staying overnight in these hotels / tourist accommodation (with adjustment of maximum number of people per square meter, to 40 people indoors and to 80 people outdoors).
In addition, the operation of restaurants in Paphos and Larnaca Airport is allowed.
10. The operation of outdoor and indoor theaters, amphitheaters, cinemas, and spectacle halls is suspended.
11. The public markets will operate with 50% fullness and 1.5 meters between persons according to protocol.
12. The ban on mass and other events, gatherings, demonstrations, parades, concerts, open-air festivals, Christmas bazaars, festivals in public or private places remains.
13. The capacity of public transport will be regulated by the Minister of Transport, Communications and Works by Province.
14. The operation of closed shopping centers is suspended.
15. The operation of the rest of the retail trade is allowed, including supermarkets and department stores as well as large stores, beyond 500 sq.m., with the observance of the measure 1 person to 10 sq.m. useful space. Supermarkets, department stores and large stores over 500 sq.m., must ensure control at the entrance of the store for not exceeding the maximum number of physical presence.
16. The operation of gyms, dance schools and schools of other sports is suspended. Personal training is allowed.
17. The operation of gambling and betting companies is allowed, in compliance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Health and the National Betting Authority and under the conditions that the measure of one person per 10 sq.m. is observed. at least and that customers remain within the company only for the required period of time to complete and deposit the bet or pay slip.
18. The operation of casinos is suspended.
19. Suspension of the operation of the swimming pools, except for the use by persons with disabilities for therapeutic exercise or for training of up to 4 persons, including the coach.
20. Fitness centers, swimming pools and spas, as well as on-site catering facilities may only be used to accommodate overnight stays at these hotels / accommodation (catering facilities may be open until 21 : 00 pm).
21. The Port of Limassol and Larnaca will operate only for commercial transactions and activities. It is forbidden to disembark cruise ship passengers.
22. Sports:
- Suspension of training and sports events for persons under 18 years of age
- The operation and use of indoor and outdoor sports facilities is suspended, except in the following cases:
(i) Operation of sports facilities exclusively for the use of persons or teams of up to four (4) persons, including the coach and without the presence of spectators,
(ii) Operation of sports facilities for training and competitions, without the presence of spectators, for the championships of the teams AD, BD and DG Category and national teams, in compliance with the health protocols, and
(iii) Operation of sports facilities for the training of high-performance athletes who are included in the list of the Cyprus Sports Organization with the participation of up to 4 people, including the coach, such as athletes who have secured or are eligible for the Olympic Games and / are included in the High Performance and Talent Plans of the Cyprus Sports Organization.
23. All group tutoring, as well as sports and social activities for children under 18 are prohibited:

24. The operation of the Courts continues, based on relevant guidelines of the Supreme Court, in consultation with the Ministry of Health.
25. Service exclusively for persons aged 65 and over as well as persons with disabilities, from food retail, from the time of their operation until 9.00 am

29.
