As we head into 2026 with the continuation of the men’s, ladies and mixed leagues, as well as planning for visiting teams and overseas trips, over the next few months, I would like to introduce you some of our walking football clubs.
‘February Spotlight is on’ Polis & Latchi Lions WFC
Polis & Latchi Lions are a friendly group of mixed abilities and experience from various nationalities, made up of men over 50 and women over 40 who all enjoy the fun atmosphere. team spirit and exercise walking football presents. (We have been known to partake in after session drinks and socialising too).
Currently we meet twice weekly in the evenings at the training pitch behind Polis stadium, accessed from the grounds of Polis school.
We train and play as a mixed team, however our ladies Lionesses contingent is gaining members and momentum all the time and we hope to have dedicated ladies sessions in the future as the demand increases.
