Ninety-three new cases of coronavirus were announced on Thursday, the highest daily tally recorded so far in Cyprus. This was followed around an hour later by a new announcement adding another 11 people to the list
The positives came from 3,877 lab tests.
Authorities said that the latest cases were still being contact-traced and that more details would be given later.
Thursday’s 93 positives brings the cumulative total to 2,274.
There are five people currently receiving treatment for Covid-19 at the Famagusta reference hospital. Two more patients are intubated in ICU at the Nicosia general hospital. And two more patients are receiving treatment at other hospitals.
