Cyprus’ largest & most respected auction house, Castle Auctions will be launching a unique webcast based live auction service in addition to its live auction format. The launch has been scheduled for 1st June, 2018 at 6 pm with a live ‘ONLINE ONLY’ auction with bids starting at just €1. The format promises to bring the excitement of live auctions right to a bidder’s smartphone, computer or tablet.
Live online auctions are a globally trending format where the bidders get to experience the excitement of live auctions without physically having to be present in person. While auctions where buyers place their bid via email or online prior to the sale are commonplace, this new format helps in recreating the exhilaration experienced in a live auction atmosphere. The bidder experiences everything from the auctioneer’s announcements to watching opening bids on items, enabling them to participate in real time and make more informed bidding decisions responding to the action in the auction rather than having to guess how much to bid to be successful to win an item. The bidder has access to photographs & detailed descriptors of each item for auction and can bid from anywhere in the world with an internet connection.
To make the live ‘ONLINE ONLY’ auction event more special, Castle Auctions has reserved 20 lots with the bidding starting at just €1 and with no reserves attached. This means that there is no minimum price and in case a bidder bids for €1 and there are no contesting bids, he can walk home with the item. The launch auction promises a catalogue of exciting items such as a brand new iPad and a 55” inch UHD curved TV.
