Breast Of Friends Say Thank You To All Their Supporters During 2022

The breast cancer support group Breast of Friends was started in 2015 as a direct response from ladies who felt that they had nowhere to go to have coffee and a confidential chat with other ladies going through treatment. As the group grew it was evident that more and more members needed friendship and support from discovery of their breast cancer and throughout their treatment to recovery.

Seven years later and supported by The Cancer Patients Support Group of Paphos the group has gone from strength to strength and although more of a support group than a fundraising arm for CPSG, any donations raised throughout the year go through the Cancer Patients Support Group for the benefit of PASYKAF Homecare Nursing and two local Hospices. If you wish to join our group, please contact Sue Currie on 99174188 or Maxine O’Daly on 99076779.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and sincere thanks to all those who supported us at the walk and run in the middle of the month followed by the coffee morning at the Frog and Toad a few weeks later. Close to 5,400 euros was raised to support cancer patients.

We are also thankful to The Paphos Running Club for the tremendous support they have given us over the last five years. This year is no exception as towards the end of the year Lee Stevens an accomplished runner with the Running Club, runs in four stages from Ayia Napa to Larnaca from Larnaca to Limassol from Limassol to Pissouri finishing on the 31st December at lunchtime at the harbour in Paphos.

Donations for the run can be forwarded to Sue Currie at Breast of Friends on [email protected] or Sue Cordrey at Paphos Running Club on [email protected]
