Already 2025 has been a pretty eventful year at AM Fair Game Sports Center, Tremithousa – the home of our fantastic walking football club, Pafos United.
We re-started in early January after the Christmas break and Matchday 4 of the WFiC Jeavons Eurotir League took place on 12th January. We then held a successful Open Day on 18th January where we attracted some new members to our club and this was quickly followed on 24th January and 9th February, with some of our PUWFC players trialing for the Walking Football in Cyprus (WFiC) national walking football team. WFiC is hoping to take a squad of 12 players to the World Nations Cup being held in Spain this October. Players from ENAD Panthers, Polis & Latchi Lions as well as our own representatives from Pafos United attended the sessions. We hope some of our players will make the grade and represent both Cyprus and Pafos United at this prestige event. The next WFiC Cyprus trials are scheduled for 2nd March at 9am at AM Fair Game Sports Center.
We now have the WFiC Jeavons Eurotir League final matchday to look forward to on 9th March where we will see how the league pans out and who will be crowned champions of this inaugural league. ENAD Panthers are in the driving seat, and it isn’t looking likely that they will be caught, Tremithousa Tigers are currently in the runners-up position.
