Paphos Wildcats wrapped up Round 2 of the iSX Cyprus Women’s Championship 2024/25 with outstanding performances and thrilling moments on 14th December at Happy Valley, Episkopi. The team secured their spot as fierce contenders in the league, delivering solid results and showcasing their growing strength.
- Game 1: 2-2 draw against Limassol Sirens
- Game 2: 3-1 victory over AEK-Lampousa/Akritori Flamingos
- Game 3: 2-0 triumph over Limassol Sirens
- Game 4: 0-2 loss to AEK-Lampous/Akritori Flamingos
Spectators were treated to phenomenal tries by Paphos Wildcats’ star players:
- Milla, iSX Cyprus Women’s Championship 2024/25 Round 1 Player of the Tournament
- Beccy, Wildcat of the Day and one of the team’s newest recruits
- Team Captain Dana, who led with unmatched determination
- Bell, iSX Cyprus Women’s Championship 2024/25 Round 1 Wildcat of the Tournament
The highlight of the round was Beccy Osborne, recognised as Wildcat of the Day. Beccy joined the Wildcats just a month ago and has already made her mark as a player to watch.
Team Coach Erik Wewetzer commended the Wildcats for their exceptional performance and team spirit, saying: “The girls showed incredible grit and progress this round. Their dedication and teamwork are paying off, and I’m proud of how far we’ve come this season.”
As the first half of the season concludes, the Paphos Tigers RFC will take a well-deserved break, with training set to resume in mid-January. All teams are eager to continue their momentum into the second half of the season.
