The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issues a Yello Thunderstorm Warning. The Yellow warning is in place from 11am on Saturday 21st December until 4am on Sunday 22nd December.
Isolated heavy thunderstorms are expected to affect mainly the western half and southern parts of the island at times. Rain rates are expected to range between 35 and 50 millimeters per hour, while hail is also likely. With the thunderstorms, wind gust is likely to reach 7 beaufort (near gale), at times.
