After a well-earned summer break for some of our clubs, we are looking forward to the new season with new clubs, and planned leagues for men, ladies and mixed football.
A big welcome to the newly formed West Coast United Ladies team who have just joined the CWFF and we also hope to have a new men’s team from Episkopi Garrison up and walking in time to join the start of the league at the end of October.
Akamas Ladies, who came together just six months ago, are going from strength to strength, which bodes well for the future of ladies walking football in Cyprus.
A contingent of 37 male and female players, mainly Polis & Latchi Lions and Aphrodite Wanderers, along with some of the Cyprus Ladies squad, are very excited to be going on tour to Malta in October, participating in a tournament and promoting the ladies walking football over there.
The Cyprus Representative Squad training is also about to get up and walking once again, with some international matches in the pipeline for 2025.
