Coronavirus: 165 new cases announced on Wednesday

Announcement of the Ministry of Health regarding new cases of COVID-19 disease

In addition to the three deaths reported earlier today, the death of another 89-year-old COVID-19 male patient with serious underlying illness, who was being treated at Famagusta General Hospital, has been announced. The ultimate cause of death is attributed to COVID-19. The total number of deaths due to COVID-19 is 33, 20 men (60%) and 13 women (40%), with an average age of 75 years.

In addition, the Ministry of Health informs that, according to information received today by the Epidemiological Surveillance Unit from contracting laboratories, out of a total of 3,291 laboratory diagnoses, 165 new cases of COVID-19 were identified.
