Police on Sunday said they have no clues that could lead to the perpetrators of the premeditated murder of 33-year-old Gary Boris Christodoulou, committed shortly before midnight last Thursday in Ayia Napa.

Investigations continue, police said, but, at the moment, they have no clues that could shed more light on the murder.

According to the police, until late on Saturday, a number of people have been questioned in relation to the case but there is still a lot of investigative work to be done.

Investigations carried out at the 33-year-old’s home in Ayia Napa did not yield any results.

At this stage, police said, all possibilities are being investigated. Some of the evidence found on the scene and in Christodoulou’s home such as mobile phones, have been sent for scientific exams.  Police said they will ask for a lift of telephone communications privacy in order to find the people Christodoulou had contacted before his assassination.

Police said they have taken increased security measures in all cities and checks are being carried out, while crime investigation units are alert.

Christodoulou, a French passport holder, was found dead with two bullets to his head in an acacia grove around 100 metres from his silver Mercedes, which had been driven into a ditch next to the hard shoulder of the motorway.
