Jasun’s Mission For The Animals…

Jasun Watkins

Jasun Watkins is simply amazing and he describes himself as our “most devoted supporter!” “I knew I wanted to do something for the animals this year”, he said. And that he does! It all started when his beloved pooch ate a few all-mighty dangerous processionary caterpillars. The dog was saved by Animal Aid Welfare & CCP vet Dr. Filippos Lygdas (reg. no. 499) with Jasun thus feeling eternally grateful…

And so, he said, he wanted to do something to help the hundreds of animals who have yet to find someone to love them like they deserve. The idea comes naturally – “can you give me one of your donation tins?” – “By all means, here you are!”. So, one donation tin later, which Jasun promises to bring back full “by the end of the season”… 3 weeks pass and Jasun pops round the reception centre with a very heavy full donation tin. “Let’s count it! I’m so curious as to how much we’ve raised!” €925! An amazing amount after only 3 weeks of fundraising! This was increased to €1000 by another €75 donation made online by one of our Facebook followers.

Another tin was made ready, another 3 weeks have passed, and when Jasun comes back with it he says “Oh my God, it’s so heavy, we must have raised more than the first time!” Indeed, €1295.03 were in the tin! Result! Jasun had raised more than the first time! This is how it all became official and Jasun is now on a “mission for the animals”!

Jasun’s mission for the animals is helped by the fact that he is a FABULOUS entertainer who works either side of the island nearly every night of the week. He can be seen with his brilliant Boy George number every Monday and Friday in the Blazing Saddles Bar in Coral Bay, every Wednesday and Saturday in The Ghetto Cocktail Bar in Protaras, every Thursday in Pit Stop Pub on Tombs of the Kings Road in Paphos and every other Sunday at the Atlantica Golden Beach Hotel in Kissonerga. You can find Jasun and his tin in the locations above and follow his activity on his Facebook page Jasun Cyprus Watkins.
